Helwig Agency owner Connie L. Bence, who purchased the agency in 2002, has been an insurance professional for more than twenty years. Since 1996, Connie has held the prestigious Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) industry designation, and attends 20 hours per year of continuing education to maintain it. In the state of Pennsylvania, she has been licensed since 1987 (in Property/Casualty), and obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation (CISR) in 1989. Connie became licensed in life and health in 1992, and also maintains non-resident licenses in the states of Florida, West Virginia, and Ohio. Her professional activities include membership in Indiana's Quota Club and the Better Business Breakfast, where she holds the post of Treasurer. In addition, Connie is the Secretary of the PIAA Chapter 6 Volleyball Officials, and has been officiating high school girls' volleyball since 1986. She's also an avid golfer, and a member of the Mon Valley Traveling League and the Meadow Lane League.
